Description: Assistive technology can be expensive, but it doesn’t have to be! Participants will learn how common items found in the home can be used as assistive technology and how to match assistive technology to specific needs. The workshop will include a make-and-take opportunity for participants to choose from different AT projects to construct and take home. This workshop has a maximum of 12 participants.
Alli Upchurch
Alli received her Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of South Carolina and worked with individuals with disabilities. She is currently a Program Coordinator at the SC Assistive Technology Program where she helps adults and children acquire assistive technology devices and equipment through the Reuse service.
