Autism Society, New Employment Course!

This August, we highlight National Make-A-Will Month, back-to-school routine planning and socialization resources, and school safety.

National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), celebrated each October, recognizes the contributions of workers with disabilities and promotes inclusive employment practices. In honor of NDEAM, the Autism Society is excited to announce the release of the second course in its Becoming an Autism Informed Organization series, titled Supporting Information Processing and Executive Function.

The courses, Becoming an Autism-Informed Organization, aim to bridge the gap between the lived experiences of Autistic individuals and workplace culture, policies, and expectations by equipping employers with the knowledge to create more inclusive environments.

Becoming an Autism-Informed Organization: Supporting Information Processing and Executive Function

Registration is open for the second course, Supporting Information Processing and Executive Function. Building on the foundation of the first course, Understanding Autism and the Workplace, this new course offers an in-depth exploration of information processing differences, cognitive styles, and executive function in Autistic individuals. It also provides practical strategies to help workplaces better accommodate and support neurodiversity and diverse cognitive approaches. You can download the course flyer here.
