Liz Huskey experienced two childhood strokes caused by a rare condition and faced challenges including relearning to walk, talk, and read. Despite some lasting effects, Liz has made incredible progress. TBI and Alcohol Misuse in Service Members
Alcohol misuse can impact productivity, operational readiness, and overall health of service members. At the time of head injury, 23–53% of individuals exhibit alcohol intoxication. In the military, heavy alcohol consumption is 1.7 to 3.5 times more likely in service members with a TBI. Download to learn more.
