Autism Society, Vaccine Education Initiative

This past year, the Autism Society had the opportunity to build on our Vaccine Education Initiative (VEI)

As the month of January comes to a close, the Autism Society's Vaccine Education Initiative (VEI) wanted to share more of our grassroots impact, reflecting our affiliates’ participation in the Aging and Disability Vaccine Collaborative (ADVC) in partnership with USAging and the Administration for Community Living.

This past year, the Autism Society had the opportunity to build on our Vaccine Education Initiative (VEI): a national program focused on addressing barriers to healthcare, while promoting vaccine education, confidence, and access.

Since the beginning of the program, 19 Autism Society affiliates have been actively participating in the ADVC, and we proudly highlight the accessible vaccination, outreach, and education events they have shared with their communities!

In addition to engaging with their local communities face-to-face through outreach and events, our affiliates have gone above and beyond to reach audiences through radio and television! The Autism Society's VEI is so proud of the work our affiliates are doing and cannot wait to see what the future has in store.

To learn more about the work of our Vaccine Education Initiative (VEI), visit: AutismSociety.org/VEI

While focusing on vaccination, a critical priority in healthcare, we have the opportunity to create systemic change to increase health equity. The Autism Society is committed to providing the resources and connections that improve outcomes for patients, providers, caregivers, and their communities.
