Description: Assistive Technology includes everything that helps improve a person’s functional capabilities. Assistive Technology covers a wide range of devices and can include adapted toys to apps that help with reading and writing. Children with disabilities of all ages can benefit from assistive technology. This workshop will look at assistive technology for children ages 0-21.
Presenter: Carol Page, PhD, CCC-SLP, ATP, CBIS is the Program Manager of the SC Assistive Technology Program at the USC School of Medicine. Carol is a USC adjunct professor and provides trainings at local to international venues on assistive technology for people with disabilities, their caregivers and professionals who serve them.

Description: This course will focus on the features of Unity for Unity 84, Unity 60, Unity 45, Unity 36 and Unity28 (Accent products). Participants will review overlays and icon features/functions, Unity Pattern 1 (verbs, nouns, adjectives, and adverbs) and Unity Pattern 2 (pronouns). You will also learn Unity Pattern 3 (statements and questions), Unity Pattern 4 (noun categories), Unity Pattern 5 (grammar parts), and strategies for teaching Unity vocabularies. Participants will review the use of core vocabulary in the Unity Language systems.
