After hearing a great deal about this book, I was looking forward to reading. And I will say, it was a poignant look at a high-functioning autistic boy's life and experiences--as well as his family's. While I would not necessarily recommend this book for everyone--there is some graphic language throughout--I think the book creates an intimate portrait of an autistic teen's perspective on the world, replete with illustrations, both literal and figurative. Moreover, the book does a powerful job at showing how frustrating AND rewarding raising an autistic child can be...
