IT'S OUR BIRTHDAY!
Twenty-four years ago today, a group of individuals with disabilities established our organization. For the last 24 years we have been a change agent committed to fostering an inclusive society that empowers South Carolinians with disabilities to live fully-engaged and self-directed lives. We continue to challenge stereotypes, protect disability rights, and break down barriers for South Carolinians with disabilities.
The best part, we get to watch people with disabilities reach their independence!

Able South Carolina is a 501(c)3 not about “helping” people with disabilities, but built on the central concept of self-empowerment. It’s a consumer-controlled, community-based, cross disability nonprofit that provides an array of independent living services.
