The Autism Society is excited to announce the launch of its new Training and Resource Center, an online learning platform offering training courses and high-impact resources tailored to support the diverse needs of the Autism community.

Foundations of Autism Course Package


Creating a more supportive, inclusive, and accepting society begins with increasing knowledge and understanding of Autistic experiences. The Foundations of Autism course package explores Autism and key characteristics, highlighting diverse experiences within the Autism community.

In this course, you will learn about aspects of Autism including neurological, communication, sensory, and social differences.

By purchasing the Foundations of Autism course package, participants will receive access to:


Foundations of Autism – The Basics (approximately 20 minutes to complete): This course introduces basic concepts and characteristics of Autism. Participants will learn about Autism, key characteristics, neurodiversity, prevalence, co-occurring conditions, and intersecting identities.

Foundations of Autism – Beyond the Basics (approximately 50 minutes to complete): This course provides a deeper understanding of Autism, highlighting a range of experiences. Chapters include content on information processing, sensory processing, communication, emotional regulation, social interactions, other common Autistic characteristics, and will end with the Autism Society’s vision for acceptance, inclusion, and belonging.
