The SC Assistive Technology Program (SCATP) is hosting an AAC-focused training day for individuals with communication differences, their family members, and clinicians working AAC.
There will be two group sessions, and all attendees will rotate between four vendors for small group trainings and to learn how to interact with the communication devices.
Participants Will Learn: Define different types of AAC
Compare different styles of communication device hardware and software options to help an individual communicate
Identify the best possible AAC options for a future trial and/or use for an individual depending on their needs
