Autism Society, National Caregivers Month

The Autism Society of America is working to increase water safety skills across the Autism community to prevent wandering-related tragedies.
This November, recognized as National Caregiver’s Month, is an opportunity to honor the dedication of caregivers across the country.

This November, recognized as National Caregiver’s Month, is an opportunity to honor the dedication of caregivers across the country. Caregiving is a deeply meaningful journey, one that empowers both caregivers and those they support. This month reminds us that caregiving is a shared experience, that thrives through community and connection. As we recognize National Caregiver’s Month, let’s foster a culture of connection and belonging that empowers caregivers and the individuals they care for.

Check out this month’s blog about caregiving and the work life balance, written by JB Brown, a father to a son with Autism and the Autism Society’s First Responder Program Manager.

A few months ago, the Autism Society of America began building excitement around the return of our National Conference, set to coincide with our 60th anniversary. After careful consideration and reflection on our mission to create impactful, accessible, and high-quality experiences for our community, we have decided not to hold an in-person national conference in 2025.

Our Conference Planning Team is actively revising the 2025 approach to increase participation, reach more people, and reduce financial burdens for attendees. This new direction will help us create meaningful experiences that unite and empower our community. We’re excited to build on our partnerships, develop innovative programming, and plan an event that will showcase the best of the Autism Society of America.
