New Tools to Support Inclusive Research AAIDD Webinar January 13, 2026 2:00-3:00 pm Eastern  In this webinar, attendees will learn about two new resources to support inclusive research: a book to be published by AAIDD- Conducting Inclusive Research: Tools and Practical Strategies  and a free online toolkit available now- Equipped to Engage. The webinar will highlight engagement strategies included in the book and toolkit to engage people with intellectual disability as full members of the research team.

Treating Substance Use Disorder in People with IDD: A Strained System of Care AAIDD Webinar January 27, 2026 1:00-2:00 pm Eastern  In this webinar speakers will: Share findings from a mixed-methods assessment of system capacity for substance use services for people with IDD in California’s regional center system from the article Treating Substance Use Disorder in Individuals With Intellectual Disability: A Regional System Capacity Assessment. Discuss the breakdowns in service delivery and what is needed to make changes.
