We Want to Hear From You!

We Need Your Help!

We are partnering with the Mongan Institute for Health Policy at Massachusetts General Hospital to collect interviews from Patient Care Assistants and consumers with a PCA.

We are interested in learning more about what it is like to help people with their basic daily activities in their homes and what it is like to get help with doing daily activities if you have a health problem or disability. As a small thank you for your time you'll be compensated with a $50 gift card.

Are You a PCA?
If you are paid to help people with their daily activities – such as getting out of bed, getting ready for the day, going to bed at night, preparing and eating meals, getting around their home, or taking medicines – because of health problems or disability, we would like to hear from you!

To volunteer for this research project, you must:
  • Help people in their homes with doing basic daily activities
  • Be 18 years old or older
  • Speak English and live in the United States

Do You Pay a PCA?
If you pay for someone to help you do your daily activities – such as getting out of bed, getting ready for the day, going to bed at night, preparing and eating meals, getting around your home, or taking medicines – we would like to hear from you too!

To volunteer for this research project, you must:
  • Pay for people to help you with doing basic daily activities
  • Need that help because of a health problem or disability that has lasted at least a year
  • Be between 45-70 years old
  • Speak English and live in the United States

These interviews are being conducted for a research project at the Mongan Institute for Health Policy at Massachusetts General Hospital. This one-time interview will take 1-2 hours to complete and will be recorded. Upon completion of the project, the recording will be destroyed. Your identity will be kept confidential.

If you are interested please contact Naomi Gallopyn at 617-643-5172. If she is unable to answer your call please leave your name, phone number, and email so that she can reach you.

Thank you!
