 | Russell Lehmann - Wenesday, October 15, 2025 When Systems Collide: Living at the Crossroads of I/DD and Mental Health |

In this deeply personal keynote, Russell Lehmann shares what it’s like to live at the intersection of intellectual/developmental disability (I/DD) and mental health. As someone who has spent a lifetime navigating disconnected systems of care, Russell offers a raw and honest account of the barriers, confusion, and isolation that come with co-occurring diagnoses, especially during moments of crisis in the community. |

 | Kerim Munir, MD, MPH, DSc, DFAACAP, DLFAPA - Thursday, October 16, 2025 Advancing Global Cooperation and Bridging Gaps in I/DD and Mental Health |

This keynote presentation will explore how global collaboration can enhance the quality of care for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and co-occurring Mental Health (MH) conditions. Drawing from implementation science, epidemiological research, and case studies from global mental health networks, the session will highlight innovative programs and accreditation models that promote sustainable training, supervision, and system-wide improvements. A special emphasis will be placed on how NADD’s mission and leadership can contribute to the future development of international standards in IDD/MH care. |

Sometimes, unmet needs show up through behavior. Sometimes, behavior is a symptom of a medical problem (like a seizure or a urinary tract infection). Supporting well-being for a person with a disability means working to understand what the person's actions and non-verbal cues are telling us they need. This is one of many resources available on their site. NADD is proud of our continued work with the Link Center & the Administration for Community Living (ACL). Learn More HERE |
