We are excited to inform you that BIASC is celebrating 25 years of providing resources and support to the South Carolina Brain Injury Community. When we were founded in 1998 by caregivers as a way to provide much needed resources about brain injury we never would have predicted that we would be here today!
We are a thriving organization that provides countless resources, trainings, referrals, and supports for survivors of brain injury, their caregivers, and professionals who work with brain injury survivors.
25 is our year!
We have doubled in staff, are receiving multiple grants from state-level sources, national-sources, and money from the legislature, and we are able to dedicate time to address some of the intersections of brain injury that we didn't have the capacity to address until now:
- The intersection of Brain Injury and Domestic Violence/Interpersonal Violence
- The intersection of Brain Injury and Veteran Outreach
- The intersection of Brain Injury and Opioid Misuse and/or Overdose
All year we will be making it a point to celebrate with you at as many events as we can! Our success is due to a great and supportive community of individuals who have a vested interest in brain injury education and advocacy. We are thrilled to share in this celebration with you!
