Changing
Behavior from Problem to Positive Behavior
Thursday, March 7,
11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Join us for the final
session in our three-part series. Cindy Tomlinson will address types of
behaviors, why it’s important to address, and how to handle. Come with
questions as we discuss six important steps to change or manage
behavior. The session is designed for parents and caregivers of
children up to age 12--but all parents are welcome. Participation in
sessions 1 and 2 is not required.This session is approved for 1.5 hours
of Foster Parent Credit. Register!

Support
Parent Training
Saturday,
March 16, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
As volunteers of
Family Connection, Support Parents connect with other families by phone
and provide a safe listening environment, information, and resources to
other families who have a child with a disability or chronic health
conditions.
Attendees who complete the training will receive a certificate and
opportunities for skill development and volunteer time during their
one-year commitment.

WAZE
TO ADULTHOOD – Parent and Professional Training
Monday, March 18,
– Monday, April 8, 2024
Many young people with
disabilities want to work after high school or college, just like their
peers. Vocational rehabilitation (VR) is a program that provides
services and supports to help people with disabilities prepare for,
get, and keep a job.
This FREE self-paced
online course will provide information about the vocational
rehabilitation program and the available services. The two-hour course
can be accessed any day from March 18 - April 8.
This training is
for parents and professionals who live and/or work in South
Carolina.
