Brain Injury Fundamentals Training Begins Oct. 27
Brain Injury Fundamentals is an essential training and certificate program designed for direct care staff, family members, and individual caregivers. Over four class sessions, this course covers topics such as cognition, medical complications, and medication safety and management.

Stand together in support of survivors and to work toward ending intimate partner or domestic violence (IPV/DV) in our communities. BIASC is sharing the following resources to encourage awareness, prevention, and healing. Silent Witness Ceremony • Oct. 7
The S.C. Attorney General’s Office hosts the annual Silent Witness Ceremony. Held on the South Steps of the S.C. State House, this event honors the women and men who lost their lives to domestic violence in the preceding year. The name of each victim will be read as a wooden silhouette is carried in their honor. RSVP or Volunteer.
 
Health Cares About Domestic Violence Day • Oct. 15
HCADV Day shines a spotlight on the critical connection between domestic violence and health. The day mobilizes healthcare providers and advocates to work together, support survivors, and advance prevention efforts. Join Futures without Violence for virtual events throughout October.
 
Week without Violence • Oct. 20–24
Week Without Violence is the YWCA movement’s opportunity to come together and advocate for a safer world for women, girls, and families. Learn how you can help.

A mild traumatic brain injury (also known as a concussion) may result in changes to your behavior, mood, or personality.
