Scanning Considerations for a High Tech Device
In this session, we will review both familiar and new scan setting features in Compass for the TSeries devices. We will discuss ways to introduce scanning when training an individual and consider a variety of pre-programmed pagesets that are organized specifically for scanning and/or have preset features to support more efficient message retrieval. This course is offered for .1 ASHA CEUs (Intermediate level, Professional area).

During this session, we will present a framework for identifying social competence needs and discuss specific goals to target social communication. We will explore a variety of features in high tech communication devices used to address social communication, expressive and receptive language, and behavior and emotional regulation.
