IAN Employment Webinar

Webinar: Wednesday, Aug. 26
Employment Expectations & Resources

Dear IAN families,

Please join us on
Wednesday, August 26, for a webinar with Judith Gross, PhD, on "Employment Expectations and Resources" for people with disabilities. (Dr. Gross is assistant research professor at the Beach Center on Disability, University of Kansas. She directs the Family Employment Awareness Training project.)

What's a Webinar?

A webinar is a meeting held over the web that you can access through your computer. It's a great way to attend an event without leaving home.

What's the topic?

Dr. Gross will discuss developing expectations for supported, competitive employment; the different job options when finding a job match is a challenge; and the role that families play in developing expectations for work. She also will discuss state and federal resources to support the employee with a disability on the job, and a family-focused training program designed to raise expectations for employment and increase knowledge of resources.
