Rick Rader, MD, FAAIDD, FAADM, DHL Addressed The United Nations on Behalf of World Down Syndrome Day  Dr. Rader's presentation proposed that all medical students in all the medical schools in the world should be required to receive clinical competency training in treating patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Publications  Edward Polloway, EdD, FAAIDD co-authored a new book, The Colony, the Training School, & the Training Center: A History of Lynchburg’s Institution AAIDD Webinars AAIDD Webinars provide an excellent opportunity for AAIDD members and non-members to expand their knowledge in the field of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Not only do attendees get to hear thought-provoking presentations from experts in the field but the speakers themselves get to share their knowledge and gain experience presenting their research. Speakers include researchers, practitioners, service providers, self-advocates, policy experts, and family members.
