The Autism Society of America’s National Programs champion initiatives that advance equitable opportunities

The Autism Society of America’s National Programs champion initiatives that advance equitable opportunities in healthcare, education, employment, safety, and public policy. Each program is designed to meet community needs through resource development, increasing education, and training opportunities. Working with our Affiliate network, each of our programs has national reach, with meaningful local impact. Learn more about all our National Programs by visiting our new webpage.

The Autism Society of America is leading a national effort to make our communities safer for people with Autism through two key safety programs:

·     Safety on the Spectrum™: Water and Wandering Program – Preventing wandering-related tragedies and increasing water safety skills among Autistic individuals and their families. Learn more and download resources here.

·     Safety on the Spectrum™: First Responders Program – Promoting safe and equitable interactions between first responders and the Autism community through education and training. Learn more here.
